Tom Selleck

Tom SelleckAmerican actor Thomas William Selleck. His most well-known role was that of Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in Magnum, P.I. The actor was nominated five times for Emmy Awards in the category of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (1980-1988), and won the Emmy Award in 1985. In the show Blue Bloods, Selleck has appeared as Frank Reagan, New York City Police Commissioner. From 2005 onward, he has portrayed the troubled police chief of a small town Jesse Stone in nine television films that were based on the Robert B. Parker novels.In films, Selleck has played bachelor architect Peter Mitchell in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and its sequel Three Men and a Little Lady (1990). Since Magnum, P.I., Selleck has been in more than 50 television roles as well as in film, such as the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball. He appeared on television in recurring roles as Monica Geller's love-interest Dr. Richard Burke on Friends, as Lance White, the likeable and charming co-star on The Rockford Files, and as casino owner A.J. Cooper in Las Vegas. He also played the lead role in the western television film The Sacketts, based on two of Louis L'Amour's books.Selleck is a California Army National Guard veteran and is a spokesperson for National Rifle Association (NRA) and an endorser for advertisements for National Review magazine, and co-founder of the Character Counts! organization.
