Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actress best known for her film roles in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She earned a B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis. Ellis is an American actor and producer, who has been actively involved in theater, film, and on television. Her career in acting began at the theatre. Later, she was a part of several television shows as well as independent and mainstream films. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of the epic BET series The Book of Negroes for which she received not just high praise but also a number of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. She made her professional acting debut as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest in 1995. Her stage credits include The Broadway show that Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted by her appearances on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. The role she played as a regular on the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
